David Wells OBE
Chair and Member of the Governance Committee
David lives in Melcombe Bingham and, before retirement, was a Director of an inner London borough, responsible for environmental health, trading standards and consumer advice. He was also an advisor to local and central Government organisations. He has been a board member since October 1992 and was elected chair of Signpost Housing Group in July 2001.
Alastair Hoare
Vice Chair & Chair of Group Development Committee, Independent member of Signpost Homes Ltd.
Chair of Spinnaker Housing Group prior to the merger with Signpost Housing Group. Vice Chair Spectrum Housing Group and Chair of Development Committee. Senior Partner specialised in property law at Williams Thompson Solicitors LLP based in Christchurch President of Christchurch Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
John Earley
Independent Member, Member of the Governance Committee and member of Signpost Care Partnerships.
Formerly Chief Executive of Synergy Housing Group, John is now retired.
Chris Garland
Subsidiary Member: Chair of Signpost Homes Ltd.
Chris Garland retired in 2003 from Folgate Insurance Co Ltd where he was Managing Director. Prior to this he was an underwriter of a non-marine syndicate in the Lloyds and Company Insurance Markets. He was a member of a small management team that started a new Company and built it into a successful entity. He joined the Board of Signpost Housing Association in January 2003 and of Signpost Homes the following September he is now Chair of Signpost Homes.
Clive Jones
Subsidiary Member: Chair of Signpost Services Ltd
Clive Jones lives in Lydlinch and was a Director of a national company. He has wide business experience of Sales, Marketing and General Management with full profit and loss responsibility. He joined Signpost in January 1996 and is now chair of Signpost Services.
Ian Keys
Subsidiary Member: Chair of Signpost Housing Association.
Since October 2009, Ian has been Chair of Signpost Housing Association and a Board member of Spectrum Housing Group. His career has principally been in public services, both with local authorities and the private sector, and he has extensive Board level experience with both. He is co-founder and Managing Partner/Board member of public service consultancy company, Gradus Consulting, which specialises in commissioning in health, local government and social care and public service management consulting more generally. His work as a strategic advisor, policy shaper and communicator and his substantial engagement with politics and public service markets means that he has a deep understanding of what drives innovation and what the levers are to influence change. Moreover, he has a strong track-record of ensuring customers are centre-stage.
Tracey Peters
Subsidiary Member: Chair of Signpost Care Partnerships.
Tracey Tracey Peters is the Managing Director of Wigwam Consulting Ltd an HR Consultancy. She is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and has a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development. She has previous Director experience in the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality and Banking sectors and is currently consulting into the NHS. Tracey also has experience as an Operations Director as for a time she ran a pub division with over 200 tenanted public houses.
Lynda Price
Subsidiary Member: Chair of Western Challenge HA, member of the Group Audit Committee
Lynda has extensive experience of management in the private and public sectors. She has been the Chairman of a Primary Care Trust, a member of a Health Authority and a member of the Devon & Cornwall Probation Board. Currently she is a non executive on the Spectrum Board and Chairs Western Challenge Housing Association. In addition she chairs an Arms Length Management Organisation (Homes in Sedgemoor) and sits as a lay member on a panel for the National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence (NICE). Lynda is a Magistrate and is a Police Authority member for Devon & Cornwall. She is a keen walker, likes to travel and enjoys playing bridge.
Maureen Robinson
Independent Member, Member of the Group Audit Committee, Member of the Group Development Committee and Member of the Governance Committee
After starting her career in academic research, Maureen took time out to bring up her children. During this time she became interested in both Local Government and the NHS. Maureen became a member of Southampton’s Community Health Council, before accepting non-executive positions on NHS Trusts, eventually becoming Chair of a large Mental Health Trust. Alongside all this, Maureen stood for election as a district councillor in the New Forest directing much of her interest towards housing issues, soon becoming Chair of the housing committee and taking other leadership roles on the council. A combination of her skills and experience resulted in appointment to the Social Affairs and Health Executive of the Local Government Association and its successor committee, the Community Well-being Board. In 2001, Maureen joined the Board of Medina Housing Association where she gained valuable experience the world of housing associations before her appointment to the Spinnaker, then Spectrum, Group Boards. Although she continues to work in housing, she has scaled back involvement in local government in recent years and has retired from the NHS. She is however enjoying a new career as an advocacy worker for a charity in Southampton, providing independent advocacy for older people.
Howard Rose
Subsidiary Member: Chair of Medina HA
Howard had an academic career in higher education for over 20 years, initially as a full-time researcher, then lecturer and latterly Dean of Faculty. He was a member of the governing body of his last higher education institution and a member and Chair of academic and management committees. He also served as a local authority councillor for four years and was a member of and chair of committees, with particular interests in housing and planning. For nearly 20 years he was a voluntary committee member of a large housing Association based in south-east England and was Chair of one of its regional committees for 10 years. Since leaving higher education in 2004, he worked for a while as a self-employed coach and facilitator, primarily in the voluntary sector. He was appointed to the Registration and Conduct Committees of the General Social Care Council, the national regulatory body for social workers, in 2007. Howard also undertakes voluntary conservation work for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
David Singleton

Joined Spinnaker in 2000. He is Finance Manager for Southampton City Council.
Jacqueline Swift
Independent Member, Chair of Governance Committee, Member of the Group Audit Committee
Jacqueline Swift's early career was in blue chip companies working in both Marketing/PR and Human Resources. In 1992 she became Chair of her first NHS Authority and started up her consultancy work in Organisational Change. Six years ago she returned, with her family to her native Dorset.
Suzanne Rastrick

Independent Chair of Spectrum Group’s Audit Committee
Suzanne joined Signpost Housing Group Board in January 2003.Suzanne Rastrick lives near Shaftesbury who is a qualified occupational therapist. Currently her role is the Deputy Chief Executive/Director of Quality & Professional Practice (November 2009 to date). Suzanne also is a member of the following:
- Audit Committee Institute;
- NHS Litigation Authority, a National Expert Reference Panel;
- The Audit Commission, a National External Advisory Group;
- Institute of Healthcare Management, of which she was elected to bea member of, by examination November 1993;
- Previously vice-chair of the South West IHM Regional Council.
